Ampelopsis Elegans, cont. 2 l., 80/100 cm.
Elegance, Ampelopsis Elegans, cold-resistant Chinese vine.
It is very beautifully layered, commonly called porcelain vine. She is strong, wooden, deciduous and climbing, being somewhat similar to wild vines. There are bunches (cymes) from non-kitschets, greenish flowers, which appear in the axils of the leaves in July. The flowers give way in autumn to showy clusters of globose pale purple-blue fruits, which mature to brighter and deeper shades of amethyst to porcelain blue. It can be trimmed without any problem.
