Bamboo (Fargesia rufa) 150/200 cm

Fargesia rufa is commonly known as bamboo, which does not grow, fast growing, shade tolerant, evergreen and cold-resistant.. It is native to the mountains of China. The roots form a thicket, slow growing bale, which is non-invasive. This plant features bluish-green new shoots with rust-red sheaths and rich evergreen foliage. The leafy stems sway in the wind, but they seldom break even when covered in winter with snow. Rarely flowers.

It is best grown in organic rich, sour, well-drained soils in partial shade. Prefers a cool summer climate. It needs some protection from the hot afternoon sun.
