Perennial herbaceous plant mainly used to decorate rock gardens and arrangements of balcony pots and boxes. Fescue is a very resistant plant to diseases and enemies. The type makes it possible to get a haircut, as it gets thicker after each trim. It is a very dry and cold-resistant grass. With good cultivation glaucous fescue can reach a height of 14–18 cm. It does best in well-drained soil, as plants do not grow well in moist soils. Tolerates dry and low nutrient soils, but it develops well even with regular watering. Grown in full sun, also grows in light shade. If the plant has a large amount of dead leaves, prune to 40 mm from ground level. This should be done in winter.
