Hebe, Oak-shaped veronica, (Hebe speciosa 'Variegata')

A suitable variety for growing in pots. It blooms profusely in summer and until late autumn. The flowers are very small, purple, to light pink, with long stamens. They are collected in apical wedge-shaped inflorescences, 10-12 cm long. They closely resemble the inflorescences of veronica, that is why this species is also called Shrubby Veronica.
Although it is grown in pots, Hebe is not a typical houseplant. During flowering, it is best to keep it outdoors.
During flowering, the hebe should be watered abundantly. Has the period of winter break arrived?, reduce irrigation water to a minimum. High humidity is preferable, therefore it is good to periodically spray the plants. Once a month you can feed them with fertilizers for flowering species.
Wintering: In light at 8-10°C. It is watered a little, but not allowed to dry. It is transplanted in the spring.
It is desirable to carry out pruning in the spring to shape the bush.
