Caryopteris, Caryopteris “Heavenly Blue”, cont. 1 l.
The Caryopteris plant has sky-blue blooms that are prominent in late summer and fall. This plant is honey-bearing and attracts bees with its fragrant flowers. The flowering is blue and fragrant, it forms at the end of August when the mornings and nights are already with lower temperatures. The interesting thing about the caryopteris is , that throughout the summer new shoots grow, new inflorescences form on them and they begin to bloom, and so some inflorescences overbloom and others form new flowers. In the spring, they should be cut to stimulate the emergence of new shoots. It is a very beautiful and decorative shrub that withstands drought and is often used for planting in park gardens as well as in rock gardens..
