Catalpa Globular, (Catalpa bign. Nana 1/2)
Height 200/250 cm
Catalpa is a very beautiful tree, reaching a height of 25-30 m. It has a beautiful crown, which attracts eyes from early spring to late autumn. Its leaves are large, light green, heart-shaped. The plant is almost blooming 3-4 weeks towards mid-June. During flowering, the catalpa is covered in large white or cream flowers with an apple aroma, which after reblooming turn into long to 40 cm pods, with which the tree is decorated almost all winter. Unlike most other trees, catalpa leaves hardly turn yellow in autumn and fall late, when the temperature drops to zero. Resistant to cold and drought, but prefers moisture.
