Cypress Leylandi Golden Rider,(Cupressocyparis leylandii “Gold Rider”)

The Leyland cypress Gold rider is one of the new species in the Leyland family. It has a very attractive yellow-green color. One of the great advantages of this type is, that it does not change its color in autumn and winter to orange or brown, and keeps it bright yellow. Gold rider is not fussy about soil and tolerates pruning well, which can be done from early spring to autumn. Withstands sub-zero temperatures up to -25 ˚C. It can reach up to 10 m high and up to 4 m width. It likes sunny places and is resistant to strong winds and urban pollution. It can grow on any soil and even in poor soils it grows to approx 15 m height. It grows faster than any other conifer. Apart from the rapid growth, another very important quality of Leylandi is, that it tolerates pruning very well and with them a very dense and smooth surface of the crown is formed. This makes it one of the most preferred and used plants for hedges and topiary forms.
