Cypress Totem (Cupressus Sempervirens Totem), also Mediterranean cypress, is an evergreen coniferous tree of the Cypress family (Cupressaceae). It is naturally distributed in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. It grows in a subtropical climate. The cypress is a medium-tall tree with a long life - there are data on individual specimens of age 1 000 years. The crown of the Mediterranean cypress is narrow (columnar) and dense, with dark green foliage. The cones are small, oval shaped, ripen for 2 years. The seeds are contained inside the cone. In its role as an ornamental tree, the common cypress is a characteristic element of the Old World landscape.
