The lyre tree, also called the tulip tree, is a deciduous tree from the magnolia family. Its characteristic is its beautiful yellow colors, tulip-like. They bloom from May to June. In nature, the lyre tree reaches approx 50 m, but grown as an ornamental it is rarely surpassed 30 m. It grows fast, and the shape of its crown is conical. Prefers deep, rich soils and lots of sun. Its leaves also have an interesting shape – they are heart-shaped, nose 4 edges.
