Magnolia 'Nigra' is a deciduous variety, growing as a large shrub or low tree with a height of up to 4m and a width of 1.5-2.5m. The variety is very resistant to cold, developing best in humus-rich soils, well drained, wet soils, located in a sunny and cherished place. Flowering is observed before leafing, in the month of April. The flowers are widely spread, tulip shaped. Their color is deep purple on the outside and paler purple on the inside. Extremely suitable as an accent in the garden, with decorative qualities almost all year round.
