Olive column, Olea
The olive (European oils) is a small evergreen tree, with a height of 5-6 meters. They are more common in the Mediterranean. Slowly – growing up, with pronounced high longevity and resistance to diseases and enemies. Since ancient times, the fruit of this fruit technical crop has been used both for eating the fruit, as well as for making olive oil. They grow outdoors in our country only in places with limited air currents or where the temperature does not fall below -15 degrees (Ivaylovgrad,Petrich,Plovdiv and along the Black Sea). In other places, as well as in individual cases of those listed above, for proper cultivation during the winter months in our country, plants are stored in bright rooms, where the temperature will not fall below -15 degrees. During the summer months, plants survive favorably in high temperatures, as their leaves are covered with wax.
