Olive, Be pon pon
The olives with genus slow growing, but long-lived trees, widespread from The Mediterranean. They are Evergreen, with small list, a the fruit they have a bone. The branches are thin, but densely spaced. The leaves of most olives are covered with wax, which protects them at high temperature. The most famous type is the European olive (European oils), which has been used since ancient times for the production of olive oil or for eating the fruit itself. Olive trees can thrive in poor soils, but last until -15 °C. In our country, this crop is mainly grown for decorative purposes in containers, as during the winter period it must be protected from the cold.
