The leaves have a slight lemon scent, similar to mint. Are used, like a herb, in teas, and also as a flavoring agent. Small white flowers appear in summer, full of nectar. The plant is used to attract bees to produce honey. It is grown as an ornamental plant and for its oil is also used in perfumery.
