Wild vine, Parthenocissus, 120/140 cm.

The wild vine is deciduous, twisted shrub with very good decorative qualities. It is a cousin of cultivated vines, from which we make wine - both are from the "Vine" family. It originates from the territory of the USA, but there are also species, coming from Asia. In Bulgaria it is widely used in parks and gardens. Its leaves are slightly serrated, large, oblong and pointed, from three to seven parts in the different forms. Blooms in June-July, but it's not the bloom that's it, for which we appreciate this plant - the flowers are not particularly impressive. After flowering, it sets fruits - dark blue, small balls, grape-like. Its popularity comes mainly from the autumn color of its leaves - in September and October they turn cherry-red to purple in different species. It grows extremely fast, per year covers approx 2 m, even more.
