Salix 'Hakuro-nishiki’ draws attention to itself with its attractive variegated coloring of the leaves. The species is broad-leaved and can be used, as a shrub or low tree, depending on the goals you need. The young lance-shaped leaves are colored pink, gradually fading to a very pale pink and creamy white. Old leaves turn a light greenish color, thus the willow acquired its beautiful and variegated appearance. The plant is deciduous, and in autumn the leaves turn yellow before finally falling. This willow reaches up to 150-200 cm. in height and 150-180 cm. in width. Sow in sunny locations for maximum pattern effect, in well-drained and moist soils.
