Weeping willow, Babylonian willow, 10/12

The weeping willow is a deciduous tree, whose branches fall from the top of the stem and form a dome. It originates from China. The willow can reach a height of up to 20 m. Grows well in normal soil, loves water and sun, but it can also grow in partial shade. In late winter or early spring it can be pruned.
The weeping willow of Babylon blooms from April to May. The weeping Babylonian willow is generally considered to have the most beautiful form of all willows. It is used in rain gardens and as decoration, especially effective next to lakes and bridges.
