Rhododendron Klondike,
(Rhododendron Klondyke),cont. 5 l.
The broad-leaved rhododendron “Klondike” blooms profusely before leaf emergence in late May-early June. The height of the adult plant is 120-150 cm, dense, hemispherical. It grows slowly. The autumn color of the leaves is orange-yellow. The buds are orange. The flowers are golden yellow, bright, large, cup shaped, with a bright aroma. Prefers slightly acidic soils, sunny places or partial shade. The best place would be semi-shaded, protected from desiccation and cold winds. But if it is possible to provide the bushes with a suitable substrate and a sufficient amount of water in the soil, you can also plant them in a sunny place. The soil should be acidic, loose and with good breathability. In no case should wood ash or other alkaline components be added to the soil. Winter-resistant to −29 °C.
