The fruits are dark blue, oblong or spherical in shape, covered with a thin zipper. They are consumed fresh, and dried, and also processed into marmalades, jams, liqueurs. They are highly valued, as they are rich in organic acids, pectin, tanning substances, mineral salts and vitamins, and in addition to their taste qualities, they also have a healing effect - they stimulate heart activity and digestion.
