Silver spruce “Oldenburg”,
Picea “Oldenburg”, 200/220 cm.
Oldenburg Silver Spruce is one of the most decorative coniferous tree species. It is valued for its silver color. Numerous decorative forms with different silvery spikes and a different crown shape have been derived from it. Has no flowering, but it is evergreen with a silver color. In its homeland, it is attached to areas with more soil moisture, but tolerates severe droughts, as well as short-term swamps. Prefers sunny exposures. Spruce is widely used in landscaping. It can be planted as a solitaire, as well as in small groups. It is particularly effective, when growing alone in a wide space. Then it develops a regular wide conical crown. Tolerates trimming.
