Silver spruce “Oldenburg”,
Picea “Oldenburg”, 250 cm.
Oldenburg Silver Spruce is one of the most decorative coniferous tree species. It is valued for its silver color. Numerous decorative forms with different spikes and a different shape of the crown have been derived from it. Has no flowering, but it is evergreen with a silver color. In its homeland, it is attached to areas with more soil moisture, but tolerates severe droughts, as well as short-term swamps. Prefers sunny exposures. Spruce is widely used in landscaping. It can be planted as a solitaire, as well as in small groups. It is particularly effective, when growing alone in a wide space. Then it develops a regular wide conical crown. Tolerates trimming.
