Fine drought-resistant ornamental grass. Grows in dense, upright vase-shaped tufts. The root is short and bearded, leaves thin, very narrow and fine – 20-30 cm long, upright. It blooms from July to August with white feather-like inflorescences, it retains its beauty until winter and is completely winter-resistant in our country. It is not demanding on the soil, but likes full sun exposure, warm and dry place. Must be light, well drained, maybe poor soil. The most important condition is to avoid water in the roots in winter, from which the plant may die. It is used in rock gardens and rock corners, flower borders, compositions of ornamental grasses, extensive roof gardens. The inflorescences are used to arrange dry bouquets.
