Perennial, evergreen, unpretentious plant with a trailing stem. It grows in shady places and over time forms a dense covering on the ground. Its leaves are leathery, ovoid, shiny and colorful – green with yellowish veins and spots on the leaves. Blooms with spectacular purple flowers in April-May.

It is used as a ground cover plant for shadier places, to strengthen the soil, in rock gardens, wide borders, arrangements in pots, in broad borders, soil strengthening and ampelous plant. Completely winter-resistant.
