Japanese red leaf apple – Malus floribunda is a Japanese apple tree or flowering apple tree of size, around 4 meters, although there are perhaps slightly smaller specimens and they are very common in bonsai cultures. The leaves and its opaque green color plus the serrated edge make it very representative of this species. Fruits, they are red buttons, which look like apples and hence part of its name. They are ideal for decorating even small gardens, as they do not grow excessively. The fruits of this particular species are not edible.Flowers, they spring up in spring with greater abundance, which makes the tree particularly attractive at this season of the year. They are characterized by 5 rounded petals that are no more than 5 centimeters wide and which form small clusters of very spectacular flowers. Semi-shade is the ideal environment for growing it even ,when able to withstand direct sun, prolonged exposure does him no good in the long run, as it is prone to humid environment. This is a very popular plant, which is often used as an ornament, which is the most obvious use, although it is also good for health. As an ornament, it is usually used to beautify gardens, paths or passages in private and public spaces.
